Compacting the soil in your fields can cause a dramatic reduction in your crops’ yields. Putting unnecessary strain on your engines can reduce the lifespan of your equipment by many years. These are both costly. They’re also both avoidable.
By using increased flex (IF) or very-high flex (VF) tires, you’ll keep your equipment running smoothly and more efficiently, while minimizing the soil compaction in your fields. IF tires can carry loads 20% heavier at the same inflation, while VF tires increase the load capacity by 40% at the same inflation.
Because of this increased capacity, we recommend IF or VF any time a lot of weight is expected, but also during certain applications. These include:
By dropping the air pressure in these situations, you’ll get a bigger footprint in the field that does less damage to your soil and crops. You’ll also avoid getting stuck and doing damage to the root zone.
We can’t recommend IF and VF tires enough in these situations. While they cost slightly more than standard tires, they can save you much more in equipment wear and field damage.
